Welcome to Mrs. Johnson's 8th Grade Science Class! 

I am so excited about the things that we will be studying together this year! We will be starting with Scientific Inquiry, learning how to think and ask questions like a scientist. Then we will spend the rest of the 1st 9 weeks diving into forces, magnetism and electromagnetism, and waves! During the second 9 weeks, we will investigate the earth and moon and sun, the solar system, the stars and galaxies and the universe, and we will also unlock the resources the earth has to offer. The third nine weeks will be when we begin to explore the history of the earth using minerals and rocks, plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanoes, erosion and deposition, and we will travel through the geologic timeline ending with a look back at how all of these things have caused so much change over time!
